The Nile River is the life-blood of Egypt…past and present. The temple of Abu Simbel is an incredible place not only for its beauty but as one of the many temples saved from the flooding of the Nile when the High Dam was built in Aswan during the late 1960’s. This amazing optional addition to the main tours will include a visit to this beautiful temple, which is home to the sacred temples of Hathor and Queen Nefertari, as well as a journey through Lower Nubia into the Valley of the Lions to visit the temples of Thoth and Isis.
